The student becomes the teacher

Leader Boy Warrior has always been mature for his age in a lot of ways. A text book baby, he reached milestones according to when the experts said he should. In a group he is a natural born leader.

He is brave and will give anything a go. He is highly active and love sports. He is a mostly compliant child and sees things in terms of black and white. He struggles to see the grey at times. He is responsible and reliable. He has a compassionate heart towards others. I am so honoured that God chose me to be his mamma and that he came into my life 8 years ago.

Every night as I am tucking the boys in, I take the time to spend some special one on one time with each son and steal some moments before the day is done. I recite scriptures to the boys as I stroke their hair, kiss them, hug them and then tuck them in. It helps to immediately put the boys into a state of relaxation and they close their eyes, and easily and quickly fall asleep.

One night, after a particular challenging day, I went into Leader Boy Warrior's room and he said to me, "Mum, God the Father says to you in Isaiah 41:10 - So don't worry, for I am with you. Don't be afraid, for I am your God. I will make you strong and I will help you. I will support you with my right hand that saves you. Mum, you've got to believe that. He will help you." The student had become the teacher.

Still taking lessons from the King,

  5. Goosebumps!!! What a blessing!!!

Just last night we went to a special service at church. They had a call for prayer at the front, and my 4 year old would NOT leave me alone til I went down there! Our boys are in tune with the Holy Spirit!
