I am so happy that my husband has moved out

~Solder paste right next to my eggs in my fridge~

This week an event occured that I am so happy about - my husband moved out. Before you get all shocked and sad for me - let me explain. Mighty Prince Warrior started his own business from home 5 years ago, when I was pregnant with Courageous Boy Warrior. Yesterday, he moved to work premises outside our home. We have our home back! (Just to clarify - it's only his business that moved out - not my husband!!)

It has been a very challenging 5 years with solder paste next to my eggs in the fridge. I haven't answered my phone in 5 years as the home phone number was also the business number. I have had couriers to my door almost everyday and occasions where Mighty Prince Warrior has asked me to keep the boys quitet (yeah, right!) or leave the house when he had clients visit.

The last 6 months has been especially challenging when my husband put on a full time staff member and one of the boy warrior's bedrooms became his office. You can imagine how stressful it has been homeschooling 3 boy warriors with not one, but 2 people now occupying a bedroom each in your house for 8 1/2 hours a day trying to conduct business amongst the chaos that goes with children. Having someone else other than family here 5 days a week 9am - 5pm has not been one of the most easisest things to cope with. Then 1 staff memeber turned into 2 and at one stage, we had 3 staff members working here during a busy period. But I survived and lived to tell the tale.

Amd now here I am enjoying my house again as it should be - a home. Absense makes the heart grow fonder and today, for the first time in 5 years, my husband left for work in the morning and said 4 words that I have waited so long to hear - "Hi Honey! I'm home." Instead of having him come out from one of the bedrooms for dinner, Mighty Prince Warrior came through the front door and I felt a bubble of excitement rise within me when he returned home. For the first time in 5 years I was able to welcome my husband home, throw my arms around him, give him a kiss and say, "Hi my love. I missed you today. How was your day?"

There are other perks with my husband moving his business away from home. I got a new microwave and a new crockery set and sent my old microwave and crockery set went to work with my husband for his lunch room. We got the original microwave and crockery set when we were married 9 years ago. (tomorrow is our anniversary actaully.) Isn't getting new things nice?

Anyway, I am as giddy as a school girl with the fact that I now have my house back. I have been doing some rearranging and now all 3 boy warriors have their own room. I have changed that lounge room around - well, just because I can! I am loving making my house into a home.

  1. Oh Jo, this is just a wonderful post! I love the new crockery and microwave too, and I can't wait to see the changes! Interestingly enough, it would have been my 19th wedding anniversary today if all had of worked out (and as you said above, yeah right! Not likely!). I am so thankful that YOU are beginning a new season in your "new" home, and I am beginning a new season in the "love stakes"...getting even closer to my wilderness exit! Love you!

  7. You picked a catchy title for your post. My husband was reading my blog when he noticed the link to your blog with your most recent title. He asked me jokingly what type of friends I was making on the net. LOL. I assured him that it wasn't as it appeared; that you in fact are madly in love with your husband.
    Happy Anniversary!
