And so the home school journey begins...

So after planning on letting Leader Boy Warrior finish off term 3 originally, we are now down to one day a week at school, and homeschooling 4 days a week and the boys and I love it!
I am just doing it casually at the moment and plan to add more structure next year when Boy Warrior will be in grade 1. At the moment I am playing around with scheduling and fitting it all in - you know the yucky but necessary stuff - housework! That will take a while and I'm not letting myself get stressed about it.

I have met a girl from my church who is homeschooling her 2 boys and have been blessed by her generosity and her wealth of knowledge on homeschooling. I have been bugging her with a million questions and she has been very patient with me. I have devoured her books on homeschooling. It gave me confidence to dive right in.

I have also noticed how much happier Leader Boy Warrior is being at home with us. The fighting is minimal between Courageous Boy Warrior and Leader Boy Warrior, and he's not as tired and grumpy. I am busier than ever, but feeling satisfied knowing I am doing exactly what God wants me to do.
Still taking lessons from the King,
